OVERVIEW:

The electrical hazards increase significantly at sea. Today's ships are extremely reliant on electrical systems, and it's increasingly important to learn how to mitigate the risk of electric shock at sea, as well as what to do if a fellow seafarer is being shocked. Avoiding hazards and quick action during an incident could be the difference between life and death.

Electrical safety training is tailored made for shipboard application. It focuses on fault finding and troubleshooting of various shipboard electrical circuits.

Engine Room Safety an online learning training course is designed for seafarers to understand in general, the Hazards associated with Electricity (Electric Shock and Fire) & be familiarized with the basic first aid procedure for an electric shock victim.

 

TRAINING OBJECTIVE:

1.   Understand in general, the Hazards associated with Electricity (Electric Shock and Fire).

2.   Understand the identified basic factors which may lead to an Electricity related fatality /injury.

3.   Be familiarized with the basic first aid procedure for an electric shock victim.
