OVERVIEW:

Root cause analysis (RCA) is the process of discovering the root causes of problems in order to identify appropriate solutions. Root cause analysis can be performed with a collection of principles, techniques, and methodologies that can all be leveraged to identify the root causes of an event or trend. 

Root Cause Analysis course will enable seafarers to understand root cause analysis as a procedure for ascertaining and analyzing the causes of problems in an effort to determine what can be done to solve or prevent them.

TRAINING OBJECTIVE:

1.   Able to discover the root cause of a problem or event and to understand how to fix, compensate, or learn from any underlying issues. 

2.   To strengthen your skills and enable you to carry out an effective incident investigation.

3.   To get familiar with a wide range of tools and techniques suitable for use in the maritime industry and practice using them.
